This is a small kin tribune to Kahuku's Hongwanji Last Bon Dance. I live in the area and have never been to one. It was so much fun and so very crowded.Food ono with long lines that started way before the bon dance did. The purple t-shirts sold out within the hour. But then again a nightmare for taking pictures, low light and moving people!!! Enjoy.

Great shooting, Susie. The food looks soooo ono. Why was it their last bon dance? They're not having 'um anymore?
There are only something like 35 members left, the oldest in the 90's, and they just can't do it something like that. there is an article in the advertiser today.
Very nice shooting there! You capture the feeling of being there. I wish I knew it was the last one, I would have checked it out. Great photos!
