Today I did something that I've wanted to do for over a year...hike the Hauula Loop trail. I haven't done that hike for over 6 years. So this morning I got 4 of my grandchildren to go with me, Peja, Rick, Shawnee and Melia. My son, Bryan who is Shawnee and Melia dad surprised us and met us on the trail with the girls dog Bully. It was great fun, but I'm sure not in a shape!!! And it looks like Peja and Rick aren't either. The walking stick, I got it at Yellowstone National Park, about 4 years ago. It went with me on a train ride to Aubany, New York, a plane ride to Gig Harbor, Washington and then a plane ride home. This is the first time I've used it here, and of course the grandkids had to try it out.

HAPPY NEW YEAR, MAY 2009 BE A GREAT YEAR!!!

These were taking early in the evening. The bottom one at about 8pm and the smoke was getting to be too much for me and my asthma, so I went to my room and fell asleep soon after that and just woke up at midnight with all the noise. I looked out my bedroom window and could barely see the neighbors house. I went right back to sleep.

In the top pictures is a kinda shadow of my daughters dog who kept trying to catch the fire works. Yea he's crazy, like the rest of my house.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL

Yesterday when I got home I had planned to go to our beach and take a picture of the moon rising, as it was full and close to the earth. When I got home it was raining but stopped about 10 minutes before 6, the moon to rise at 6:02, I got my camera stuff together and headed to the beach at about 5 til 6 but it then started to rain with some lighting. I came back in the house. Our electricity had gone out at about 5pm and the house was dark, so I decided to sit outside on the covered porch and watch the lighting. To my surprise the lighting had some bolts, not knowing what to call them, as they don't happen here very often. So I setup my camera and tripod on the porch and waited. I was only able to catch one lighting with a bolt.

Dec 11 2008 This is dedicated to a very special person.Eight years ago today my best friend, lover and husband went home to Jesus. Long story short, I met this wonderful person when I was 14. Sunset Beach Christian School Christmas Play

Tonight I had the honor of going to see 3 of my granddaughters in their Christmas play at Sunset Beach Christian School.

On my home on Friday before all the rain, this is what the Koolau Mountains looked like.

I'm a cat lover and these are two of my cats, who just love my bed.

This face was on the side of a building door.

Downtown Honolulu has sure changed. I just love the old buildings mixed in with the new ones. Chinatown is still the same, as I remember from small kid time. These pictures are from a recent visit to Downtown with Jalna.

Tonight I dressed as myself for halloween to pass out the candy.

Finally got to see my grandchildren who play soccer, play. My two granddaughter's played against each other and then my grandson

played.
